Bermudas, shorts and traditional costume (such as Sari, Baju Kurung, etc.) are not considered proper attire. Customers who are not wearing long pants are required to rent our waterproof pants @ $3 per pair.

Hello people!

Oh, I really miss all of you.
You know what, I think I'm starting to feel a little detached from this class, like it's part of my memories but not part of my life anymore.
But still, everytime I think about all of you, I feel such great love towards all of you.
I really, really miss the good and wonderful times we had together.

Remember all the competitions we won?
But it's not really about that, is it?
It's about the bond we created while putting together our brains and muscle and hearts to win those things.
It's about the effort.
And it's about the love.

And remember all the praises we got from teachers?
And us being fussy about being clean?
And how some people would clean the class every single morning, rain or shine?

So I just wanted to say that no matter how far apart we drift from each other one day [face it, it's gonna happen], I believe that we will never forget each other. I love you with all my heart and I will miss you for the rest of my life.

And I'm sure some of us still play Captain's Ball during recess, one of the factors that bonded us together. But I can't play because I'm such a loser and I'm terrified of the ball, so I'm sorry I never joined you all.

But whatever it is, the bond we share for the past year, and the love we have for this class, and all those memories, deep, solid and engraved inside us, I don't think that will ever fade away, I don't think that will ever drift apart from us.

Hey SE.

I decided to post, due to the high number of tags saying our blog is dead. Face the facts, it isn't, because faithful Cat shall post, this phenomenal occurence caused by her overwhelming love for her class. (I'm not that dramatic, since I've quit Drama, but yesh, love my class lots.)

I'm about to finish reading The Merchant Of Venice. Even though I love Lit the format's been messed up badly, and the continuous Shakespeare-ish prose got tiresome once I got to Act Three. I hope you guys have been reading our Lit books, and if you haven't, you'd better pick them up now and read. Honestly, MOV is no easy book, and I'm pretty sure next year's Lit teachers aren't going to spoonfeed us chunks of the play. My cousin (who is 17) was shocked by the fact that mere Sec2s (or soon-to-be mere Sec2s) are even reading Shakespeare.

People have been asking me to get a blog (I have a friend, from another school, who keeps trying to persuade me). I don't want to, since I'm already sharing a MySpace with Tweed, and I have 1SE's blog! I do not want to get a blog. The day I do is the day half my brain cells die. I already have a dA Journal (I hope you've been reading that) too. Random paragraph about blogs, don't bother reading every word, because this is only Cat's monologue. (:

I went to HK and I managed to contact Jul, I called her, and she suggests that we pool money to buy Mrs Kee a blouse in the style she likes to wear, with some different, interesting patterns. I think she mentioned something about getting Ms Tan a shirt. I'm not going to organise any of this, so if you guys want to (CLASS REPS! MUAHAHA) you can. This idea is (c) Jul.

Hello!

Lesley here. I hope no-one's come down with anything since the class party, except for Jillian who has pulled a muscle or something related to that - get well soon, Box!

Tweed's internet has been down for some time, therefore she will not be posting on the MySpace that I share with her. We post anonymously, Tweed as 'Tweed' and I as 'Cat'. Don't let the cat out of the bag and tell people who we are if you leave comments (I think you can, even if you don't have an account). I've already added the link at the bottom of blogs from our classmates, so you can take a look if you like (I've been trying to work on the layout, so excuse me if it looks like crap).

I have been drawing a lot and thankfully for me my old style of drawing is gone. I have only one picture up on dA besides all the photography I've been doing, so if you want to check up on where I've been to and what photos I've taken you can head to my dA page (I will add the link after I post this entry).

The class blog seems really quiet, so try and post if you have the time. Hopefully we'll soon see more posts here!

Please read Of Mice And Men (hereinafter referred to as OMAM) and The Merchant Of Venice (hereinafter referred to as TMOV. OMAM is really interesting yet so poignant at the end. It really opens your eyes about what life used to be like (and possibly is like). By the way, don't listen to any of your seniors if they tell you it's about gays. I read it, and it's not really about gays. It's about friendship and hardship and all sorts of other ships.

TMOV I haven't started on, because it's the edited format with lots of silly notes that spoil the entire book. If you asked me, I'd rather read the unabridged version. This version we were given to study has NO OLD ENGLISH and that is a sad, sad thing indeed. They spoilt the entire book with notes. I'm going to have to slog through it and then I'll post and tell you how things went (it doesn't even seem to be a play, for crying out loud).

I went overseas to Australia sometime before and I returned just a week ago. I went to Hobart (the capital of Tasmania) and then to Melbourne. You can check out the photos I've been taking on dA as I have mentioned. The trip was awesome. The weather in Australia beats Singapore by a long shot. A very long shot. Hobart was a lot nicer, though. It was more natural and less polluted.

I went to Bruny Island, which is just off Hobart (you take the ferry there from Hobart). It's practically a wild island. Even the Hothouse Cafe on the island has a peacock running around inside it, so you can see what I mean ;) Also, I took a tour to Mt. Fields National Park. I have a feeling Ms Goh would want to bring us there. She'd tell us what sort of rainforest it was, and all sorts of geographical facts. It really is a rainforest, and there was a path which the tour guide led us on (you aren't supposed to go there, but some of us went, anyway) that showed you the top half of the waterfall. Being an abandoned path, it was, of course, very dangerous, and I nearly fell off one of the ledges (it's a loooong way down). When we got back to safe ground I found (the horror, the misery) a leech on my shoe. Thankfully it didn't reach my skin before I scraped it off. Ouch.

Did you know leeches are EXTREMELY stretchy?

I also went to Melbourne's Victoria Market. I bought antique music boxes there (they're quite small, they fit in your palm) and a host of other things. Wish you all were here, or that we went to Australia instead of Malacca, and did more interesting tours (like Bruny Island).

anyhow this's about the class party anddd i wanna tell you about my holiday plans! HAHAHA it's damn exciting i tell you :D HAHAHA. okayokay class party first! if xinyuan's told any of you what she's planning, then doesn't it sound FANTASTIC? haha if you don't know i shan't spoil the surprise but i bet it's gonna ROCK :D well hey, it's an se party, so DUH.

okayokay now holiday plans. um yeah well BECAUSE of my holiday plans, i probably won't be able to make it for the class party WHENEVER it is. um alright well the very first day of the hols is 28th october, correct? well i'm tentatively slated to leave for china AGAIN on the 29th, for a month long training camp with the championship team there, and be back on the 29th of november. so that's basically half my holidays gone. but i'm hoping to be back from there a week early cos i'll be leaving again for australia on the 24th of november! so i should be back on the 20th (: and once i get back from there, which will be um, within the first week of december hopefully. then train like crazy and off to malaysia for another competition. and that's the end of the holidays ): so sad right? i mean i don't have a social life already, it's gonna be like NEGATIVE by the time i get back ):

Don't keep peppering your sentences with 'lah' too much. Once in a while is fine... some of us really love our home country, so why not add in local flavour? Just remember that too much flavour puts people off, yeah?

Try not to swear. Swearing is extremely 'uncool', or uncouth. Youths like to swear, but bad words put people off. Seriously. Swear in your brain! If you really need to swear just don't do so under a teacher's nose. =3

Stop saying 'hais'. That pisses people off. (Oops, is 'piss' a swear word?)

Hi everyone.

This is ms chia here. Many people have been asking me to tag the class blog, but i decided to do one step better and put in an entry. (:

well. i'll be walking through the glass departure gates to get on a plane heading to Heathrow airport London for the next three years (of course inbetween i'll be coming back). leaving this thursday night at 11.20pm. i know some of you want to send me off but it is really alright, it'l be late at night and i don't want your parents to kill me. heh.

anyway, before i go, just like to leave you guys with something. heard that there are some class things issues going around, just want to say...be wise. be wise in whatever you do, whatever choices you make (cos life's just made up of choices), whatever words you say or don't say, whatever you do or don't do. try to look at the pig picure, how what you do now, will matter in a few years time. is it worth it? and then make your decision, be it in the way you act or words you say, because after all you have to live the consequences, and so will the people around you. and everyone makes mistakes and as lesley said "we all stumble" it is how we pick ourselves up, or how people around us help us to pick up the pieces and carry on that will matter. think about it. the world's not exactly a warm and fuzzy place to be in already, so let's try not let the world take away all that is good and true and beautiful.

Okay. We performed today, and I feel kind of sad. The other group did so much better than we did, and I feel sad, though I always set some of my heart aside for being insolent.
People have been asking me to do the Guo Qiang role in class sometime soon. I'll do it on one condition - someone get me aSaint Levi CD. Saint Levi is a band. They have some interesting songs but I don't think anyone would be interested, so I shan't post the URL. If you want it you can ask me during school hours, and I'll only tell you if I feel nice.

-the must-see places
-beaches/coastline?
-offers/prices
-opening hours

The brochure has to be CONVINCING and SEEM REAL.
It must be attractive enough to catch a tourist's eye.

I love the way we laugh when Mrs Kee is acting weird.
I love the way we think that orange is cool just because our class tee is orange.
I love the way we groove like we've got diamonds at the meeting of our knees.
I love the way we shake the walls when we say our cheer.
And the way we feel like crying when we sing Superman.
And the way we have this thing for cats just because Wei Yi happened to draw a cat.
And the way we are so proud to be SE.
And most of all, I love the way we love our class so much.

OKAY I OWE THIS BLOG A LOT OF POSTS BUT ANYWAY HERE'S A FAIRLY LONG ONE.

okay i hope you all remember that TOMORROW IS THE MATHS CARNIVAL FINALS and WE HAVE TWO TEAMS THERE! you all MUST remember to get to the lecture theatre straight after recess, cos if you're late we may have points deducted! and also remember to shout the right things! cos we're depeneding on you and if you don't shout we'll be stuck, and do you know how badly that's gonna reflect on us? OHDEAR. okay well anyway i hope at least one of our teams gets into the top three or whatever, cos at this rate i honestly don't think my team will make it; we're kinda...disorganized right now. okay well anyway good luck to the other team AND REMEMBER TO CHEER FOR ALL OF US SUPER LOUDLY.

Well hey 1SE. This is the second time I'm posting. I have nothing else to do, and yeah. Everyone should have finished their music project by tonight. It's due tomorrow, and if you don't hand it in I don't want to know what's going to happen...
Anyway, Ms Chia came to the school today for those of you who happened to miss her. Weiyi and I saw her in the morning when we were waiting for Tweed (Nadiyah).

sorry gals due to the unoverwhelming response the party is cancelled here is the latest one....
i will be buying a nice cake not pandan anymore a big one so we all can get a slice during recess and we also can finish our chips that ms tan gave us. we will have a big party and present our gift proposal to everyone for ms chong and ms chia. we will have a farewell for ms chia but not but maybe during our b dae party. sssooorrryyy for the cancelled party my sincere apology ;p so sorry we will have a great party in school!!!! we promise from mostly me and leastly the b dae comm. Out of the 18 people I called yesterday, only 7 people picked up the phone -_- Anyway Cheryl, Nicole, Jillian, Melissa (hope she gets well by saturday), Vanesse and Yue Ru can go so far, and Kritika can't go.. I don't know about the people in Nadia's side of the relay system.. has she called you guys yet? Um. I don't know if I can go because I have my stupid chinese tuition this saturday which I seriously dislike, but I don't know how I can get away from it. If I can I'll tell you :) Sorry. Hello 1SE-ians!
Lesley here. Has everyone finished their holiday homework yet? For convenience and ref I've decided to make a list.

For everyone -

Poetry - do research on two poets, one dead, one alive, and review two poems by each poet, preferably with reference like "Does it reflect their lives?" or "How is the poem similar to their lives?" If that's too much I guess its okay to review the poem as per normal. In total, this assignment should have four poems altogether, all in the poetry journal, plus your research on the poets themselves. Should be alright if you give a summary of about 150 words on their lives - 150, to be absolutely safe.
Geography - do the online quiz at www.asknlearn.com, the one set by Mr Teo. That's all. His name should be there. Login with your NRIC as both username and password. Nothing in caps - not even letters in your NRICs.
Geography - nine articles in total on the topics we were asked to do; Weather and Climate, Forests and Deforestation, Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions, River Landforms and Rivers (Positive/Negative impact). Choose 3 topics, collect 3 articles related to each topic and then write a summary for all the topics you chose. It should be more than 100 words, at least. That's what it says on the paper.
HeyMath - see the online lesson and do the assignment entitled June Holiday HomeFun. It's www.heymath.com and the username and password are NRICs, nothing in caps, not even the letters.
Maths worksheets on Statistics. Complete those, and the notes.
Your CE family project - refer to the sheet. It's so long-winded that I can barely summarize it.
Maths Carnival stuff. Remember the day of your one hour meeting with Mrs Chia.
English - finish up ALL exercises in Vade Mecum.

That's all for everyone. For Normal Chinese students, you have the book review - read the green book that is very thick that has pictures. I can't explain it, but yeah.

For HML and HCL, I don't know what your homework is.

Now don't get me wrong - I don't like homework. Just complete all the above by the end of June and you should be OK.

Anyway it's called 'PTD' which stand for 'Parent-teacher-dialogue', and not like "Parent-teacher-student dialogue' or somethingl. And my sister once drank from her form teacher's bottle during PTD with my mum because her bottle was right in front of my sister, so she thought it was my mum's, and started drinking from it. Haha my sister's full of nonsense.
